Mid Cape Cod: A Tourist Place.

Barnstable, Dennis, Yarmouth are the three towns included in Mid Cape. Barnstable comprises of seven villages of which Hyannis is the largest town and the economic center of Cape Cod. Despite of its quaint appearance, Barnstable is close to the myriad of activities and conveniences offered by Hyannis. The village of Hyannis is the hub of Cape Cod. Earlier Barnstable had people of agricultural background, but later on it was full of people interested in sea industry. There is an annual sailboat held in May. This race is held on weekend and around 200 sailboats participate in that.
Dennis has beaches on both the sides that are north and south. Dennis is famous for antiques and nice gift shops. There is a great diversity of dining in Dennis. It is an all -around versatile town for first time as well as experienced vacationers. This town was named after the area's first appointed minister Mr. Josiah Dennis. The main occupation of Dennis is cranberry farming.
Yarmouth has both north and south side of the cape, just like Dennis. One can find historic homes, antique stores and fine restaurants. It is one of the oldest towns on Cape Cod. Yarmouth offers a diversity of activities. The South Yarmouth library and the West Yarmouth library are the famous museums in Yarmouth.
